New Hampshire Chapter

April 22, 2008

Dear Members,

We have accomplished a lot this year.  We have incredible officers and both chapters, the Central NH Chapter of REALTORS® and the Southern New Hampshire Women’s Council of REALTORS®, have been offering relevant and meaningful membership meetings.

At the State Level, we have offered the first “Nuts and Bolts” Leadership Orientation, with Gail Athas as the keynote speaker, regarding the qualities of a leader.  The purpose of this orientation was and will be to insure that officers have a better understanding of their roles and purpose.

The goal of Women’s Council of REALTORS® all over the country is to become a business resource center and a place to encourage and empower women to become leaders in the real estate community.  In order to continue with this goal in mind, Roger Turcotte, a nationally sought after speaker, will present a 2 CEU seminar on “Helping the Buyers navigate in a Buyer’s Market.” You can check out his website at www.rogerturcotte.com.

Goals for the remainder of the year will be to develop a Statewide Membership book, which will be a handout that includes all state members as well as local affiliate members.  The purpose of this book will be to assist members in better knowing who the membership is in order to refer business to each other and to build relationships among other members in New Hampshire.

As your President, serving on the board for the New Hampshire Association of REALTORS® has been a most wonderful experience.  At these meetings I represent you by bringing information of our accomplishments, our future plans and I have the opportunity to vote on upcoming budgets and other events of matter.  I have also previously attended the Mid-Year and National Conferences and voted for the National Officers and any bylaw changes.

Over the past six years I have had the pleasure of serving as the National Governor for the State of NH and as a LCP officer.  During both difficult times and good, these opportunities have helped me to remain focused on my career as a REALTOR®.  I have learned a great deal about working with others, running meetings, sticking to an agenda, setting goals, and the importance of networking.  I recommend to anyone who wants to become a successful business woman, to step up and take a chance to become an officer in Women’s Council of REALTORS®.  You’ll find being an officer doesn’t take time away from your business; it helps you learn how to work more effectively.

I want to thank all the members for making it possible for me to maintain my leadership role for so many years. I am looking forward to supporting the board as a member of the various committees.
